These Voices are preserved and presented through the efforts of the Sisterhood of Temple Beth-El.

The Sisterhood is an inclusive women's group, rooted in Reform Judaism, which inspires our members to leadership and to intellectual, spiritual, and personal growth. 

Our commitment to Tikkun Olam and building friendships also empowers us to embrace and enrich our membership, our congregation, and our community. 

  • Elizabeth Sandy

    Elizabeth is the mother of Temple members Bob and Elaine Sandy. She sat for her Lasting Voice interview the day before her 100th birthday, and tells of her life both before and after the War. She even sings a bit of her favorite opera!

    Elizabeth was born on May 19, 1923 in Budapest, Hungary and currently resides in Providence, Rhode Island.
